Senior Data Governance Engineer - Remote / Telecommute
Cynet Systems is a company focused on data management solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Data Governance Engineer to help define data and develop governance policies. The role involves maintaining data dictionaries, performing data analysis, and ensuring high data quality across various systems.

Responsibilities
Help define data, create data dictionaries, and ensure the organization's metadata is well-maintained
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Facilitate metadata Client and data cataloging efforts
Build technical data dictionaries and support business glossaries to analyze datasets
Perform data profiling and analysis for source systems, manually maintained data, machine-generated data, and target data repositories
Develop and maintain data mapping specifications based on data analysis and functional requirements
Perform data loads and transformations using multiple tools and technologies
Analyze reference datasets and become familiar with Master Data Management (MDM) tools
Analyze the impact of downstream systems and products
Derive solutions and provide recommendations from deep-dive data analysis
Design and build Data Quality (DQ) rules as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Library Science, or a STEM field
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Exposure to data management tools such as data catalogs, metadata management tools, and databases
Certification in data management or related areas (e.g., DMP, DM-BOK)
Familiarity with industry-standard data catalog, automated data Client, and data lineage tools (e.g., Informatica, Alation, Collibra, TAMR)
Exposure to industry-standard data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, ER Studio)
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend
Hands-on experience writing SQL scripts for Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or HiveQL
Preferred
Experience with Engineering, Procure, and Construct companies
Experience with CFIHOS
Exposure to multiple data domains
Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and understand interdependencies
Strong teamwork skills to achieve common goals, provide resolutions, and share ideas
Strong presentation and influencing skills
