Market Development Representative - Specialty Brands - Pasadena Region
Sazerac Company is an independent, American family-owned company with a rich history in the beverage industry. They are seeking a Market Development Representative to drive volume and distribution sales goals for targeted brands within the Greater Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities
Implement creative and strategic solutions specifically tailored to challenging accounts to drive increased market share
Leverage consumer insights and category trends to educate diverse decision-makers, creatively overcome objections, and enhance product placement and sales
Guide distributor partners to optimize in-store selling, strategic merchandising, and effective account execution
Achieve sales volume targets, especially emphasizing high-volume value-tier products through strategic placement and storytelling about profitability
Execute programs focused on distribution, creative merchandising, displays, and targeted retail promotional activities, driving tangible results
Cultivate deep, mutually beneficial relationships with diverse customers, including Syrian, Indian, and Asian decision-makers, through understanding their unique business needs
Serve as the communication lead, effectively liaising between key accounts, wholesalers, and internal stakeholders
Track and manage KPIs rigorously to ensure consistent achievement of business objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the alcohol-beverage or CPG (consumer packaged goods) industries
Proven volume objectives and ability to deliver on new points of distribution (PODs), well placements, menu placements, events, and promotions
Demonstrated success using sales data analytics and tools to drive sales results, identify market trends, and produce measurable results
A valid driver's license and ability to travel within an assigned territory is required
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends
Candidate must reside in or near the territory
Ability to personally cover ordinary and essential business expenses that will be promptly reimbursed
Required to obtain a solicitor's permit in any state
Standing for an extended period of time
Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 35lbs without assistance
Ascend or descend stairs
Ability to drive and visit multiple accounts in one day
Strong communication skills
Preferred
On-premise experience is preferred
New college graduates require a sales/marketing internship or full/part-time sales role (preferably in consumer-packaged goods) and/or sales competition experience
