Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy and debug KPIs and metrics to evaluate the quality and performance of Automated Parking and Active Safety features built on Rivian’s Autonomy Stack
Develop measurements based on the operational design domain, functional, performance, and safety requirements of features
Devise scalable methodologies for measuring and analyzing large datasets in simulation that can predict on-road feature performance
Develop optimized signatures that identify and trigger events of interest leveraging Rivian’s autonomy logging pipeline
Collaborate within Autonomy development teams such as pose, perception, planning, motion control for end-to-end metric design and development
Work closely with the Simulation Infrastructure team for development, integration, and testing of metrics
Collaborate with the Data Analytics and Cloud teams to visualize metrics and insights in dashboards and potentially create dashboards yourself
Design, develop, deploy and debug SiL and HiL tests to exercise Automated Parking and Active Safety features
Stay current with industry and Rivian best practices including creating applicable documentation for the wider team’s consumption and ease-of-use

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Robotics or a related field
4+ years (Bachelor's)/2+ years (Master's) professional experience in systems engineering or software development, building autonomous systems or similarly complex robotics systems
Excellent data analysis and programming skills (Python, SQL). Ability to understand and navigate software code (C/C++) is preferred
Experience with time-series analysis and working with large-scale datasets
Experienced with root cause analysis and working with cross-functional teams in a Product / Feature development environment
Strong problem solving skills in a highly cross functional and fast paced environment
Understanding & knowledge of L0/L1/L2/L3/L4 levels of automation and associated vehicle systems & features
Familiarity with Agile methodology and continuous integration concepts for developing and implementing software including git

Preferred

Ability to understand and navigate software code (C/C++) is preferred
Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Amazon S3 and Databricks is preferred
