Senior HSE&F Engineer (Relo Provided):

The Senior HSE&F Engineer will provide Safety, Environmental & Facilities leadership and technical support to the Aerospace site in Memphis, TN, ensuring compliance and improving safety standards. This role involves managing HSE programs, collaborating with teams, and overseeing facilities maintenance to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities
Identifies areas for improvement, defines effective strategies for change, and drives actions to performance-based closure. May be responsible to create processes and plans with little oversight
Develops and implements site-level HSE programs, procedures, and training to ensure beyond-compliance performance with all regulatory and Honeywell HSE requirements
Develop an HSE improvement strategy/goals including capital projects, waste reduction, HSE management system implementation and other continuous improvement projects
Interpret new and existing regulations, develop plans and drive actions to ensure compliance with regulatory (Federal, State, County, Local) and Honeywell requirements. This includes EPA, OSHA, etc
Monitor plant operations to ensure capture of relevant data for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports as required by site permits water, solid waste, etc. Develop an environmental improvement strategy including capital projects, waste reduction, HSE management system implementation and other continuous improvement projects
Fulfills a leadership role in coordinating successful implementation of HS&E processes to achieve world class results and maintains site VPP status
Develops working relationships with local regulatory agencies and serves as the site point of contact for all regulatory agency inspections and inquiries
Develops and implements site emergency response plans and serves as the emergency coordinator for events
Leads site level root cause incident investigations
Assists in developing and implementing corrective actions to resolve HS&E issues and tracks action items to closure
Submit monthly/quarterly/annual corporate reports per requirements
Manages expenditures in accordance with budgetary process and manages site HSE projects to budget
Investigate any unsafe behaviors/ conditions
Identify cost saving initiatives/ processes with regard to health, safety, environmental, and/or facility focus
Oversee facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, grounds, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and operationally effective work environment
Coordinate with Internal contractor partners and external vendors and contractors to perform maintenance, repairs, and completion of facilities related capital projects
Manage the HSEF Department budget for facility maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
Implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve facility efficiency
Directs/ allocation resources to create workable plans in support of strategic directions and initiatives
Determines sequence and timing of multiple execution of tasks with mutual dependencies
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a health, safety, environmental, and/or facilities management role in a manufacturing industry
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and industry standards
High School Diploma or GED
Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or other related fields
1+ years of HSEF Management experience
Experience in a manufacturing or related environment preferred
Experience with OSHA VPP program or ISO 14001 preferred
Comprehensive and technical knowledge of ergonomics, safety engineering, occupational medicine, occupational hygiene, behavior-based safety, ISO14001, air permitting, storm water discharge permitting, waste characterizations, RCRA regulations, EPCRA regulations, TSCA requirements, HSE&F Auditing and a clear understanding and interpretation of HSE laws and regulations
Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Extensive knowledge in applicable health, safety and environmental regulations as well as knowledge and experience in developing HSE management systems
Certification in one or more HSE related disciplines
