Intern - Gas Integrity Management, Engineering
MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering for their Gas Integrity Management internship. Interns will gain exposure to various projects within the energy industry, applying their academic knowledge in a practical setting while collaborating with engineers and analysts on technical tasks.

Responsibilities
Performing data analysis utilizing geospatial and related software applications and determining and implementing optimal solutions
Work will encourage leading or participating in teams and collaborating with other Company interns and full-time employees as well as reporting information to and interacting with various levels of staff and management
Assisting and collaborating with engineers and analysts to complete technical tasks associated with the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP) for Company’s natural gas transmission assets as well as for the Gas Steel System Modernization (GSSM) project which is critical to verifying proper operation of cathodic protection zones associated with underground steel gas pipelines across the system
Assisting with other engineering projects within the Compliance and Integrity Management team as assigned
Utilize human performance improvement tools to ensure quality of work product, including but not limited to peer and post-job reviews
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a college student actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering
Must be able to work May-August 2026
Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
