Horizon Investments is seeking an Analyst to support the daily operations of their Custom Portfolio Offering within the Investment Management team. The role involves investment analysis, portfolio management, trading, and performance reporting, with a focus on enhancing processes and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Account review and onboarding processes, including proposal generation, portfolio analysis, and documentation
Drive workflow and process enhancements across onboarding, trading, and portfolio management
Assist in the preparation and execution of separately managed account (SMA) trades
Support portfolio managers in base model construction, replacement screening, and selection, including single-stock and factor-based analysis
Produce quarterly and ad-hoc portfolio reports for base portfolios and client-specific requests
Conduct performance attribution analyses comparing products, benchmarks, and competitors
Manage the production and distribution of performance reporting via external databases, quarterly factsheets, and GIPS composites
Become a subject matter expert on the initiative's strategies and methodologies, presenting to internal sales teams and external advisors
Coordinate communication across departments to address product and service needs
Assist with due diligence questionnaires, requests for proposals, and vendor management
Identify operational challenges and propose solutions to improve efficiency, data integrity, and scalability

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly
Passion for financial markets and investing

Preferred

Familiarity with portfolio management systems and performance reporting tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar) preferred
Professional experience is preferred but not required
Desire to pursue or currently pursuing the CFA designation
