The Sr. Technical Manager will lead and manage the Product, Process and Quality Performance functions to improve operational stability and productivity while ensuring customer requirements are met.

Ensure EHS performance of the Technical Team and support the site EHS initiatives
Customer quality management and technical interactions
Quality systems implementation and sustainability
Laboratory testing
Process & quality data management
Development of engineering talent
Material creation and control
Sustainability of process and product
Data management and process/quality business intelligence applications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study (Metallurgical Engineers or Engineering)
Experience as Leader of technical process, product and development groups and projects
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
Creativity and project management skills
New Product Development, managing multiple projects
Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with customers through follow-up, understanding their needs and fostering a collaborative relationship
Ability to organize and prioritize workload; must be able to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail
Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
Solid computer skills with software applications proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new software programs quickly
Must be willing and able to travel (customers, training, vendors, other Novelis Facilities) as needed
