Responsibilities

Post-Launch Support & Leadership Provide ongoing support for mechanical and electro-mechanical components after product launch. Lead complex technical projects and mentor junior engineers and technicians
Lifecycle Engineering & Problem Solving Support electromechanical systems through production and aftermarket phases, focusing on root cause analysis and creative design solutions. Assist with verification and validation activities to ensure successful implementation
Manufacturing & Field Issue Resolution Investigate manufacturing and customer-reported failures to identify root causes. Develop and implement design improvements to enhance manufacturability and prevent recurring defects
Design Documentation & Obsolescence Management Create and update mechanical design packages including CAD drawings, BOMs, and test procedures. Manage component obsolescence by qualifying alternate parts and verifying module performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Input Collaborate with teams across design, test, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to drive corrective actions and improvements. Contribute to VAVE, sustaining engineering, supplier transfers, and advise on make-or-buy decisions

Required

3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, contributing as an individual contributor with a disciplined and independent work style
Expertise in design techniques and reliability principles (e.g., DFSS, Risk Analysis, DFMEA, DFM, GD&T), hardware/software interfaces, thermal modeling, and configuration management tools such as eMatrix, Windchill, or SAP
Hold a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
Ability to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
Open to traveling domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
Excellent communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills that support cross-functional teamwork and effective documentation

Preferred

Proficiency in CAD & FEA tools like ProE, SolidWorks, Ansys Classic, and Ansys Workbench
Experience in thermal modeling
