Responsibilities

Examine construction plans and specifications to ensure they align perfectly with on-site conditions

Perform and oversee tests and inspections on construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and more, to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards

Use advanced software like Metafield® to accurately document and report testing results

Calibrate testing equipment to industry standards to guarantee precise and reliable results

Conduct special inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and uphold quality assurance on all projects

Required

A High School diploma/GED

A minimum of 2 years of experience testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials

One(1) or more active certifications: American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician; International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)

Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language

Math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure
