Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities
Oversees daily operations of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, elevators, and energy management systems
Manages and coordinates preventive and reactive maintenance programs
Sources, selects, and supervises external contractors and service providers
Monitors and controls facilities budgets, including operating and capital expenditures
Conducts regular building inspections to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and cleanliness standards
Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, permits, warranties, and equipment manuals
Responds promptly to urgent facility issues and coordinate resolution
Develops and implements facility improvement projects
Ensures all facility-related activities align with sustainability goals and energy efficiency practices
Serves as liaison with tenants, internal departments, and property owners (if applicable)
Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
Qualification
Required
5+ years of facility or property management experience, preferably in commercial or multi-tenant buildings
Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical operations, and safety regulations
Experience managing third-party vendors and service contracts
Budgeting and cost control experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with work order systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
Certification in Facility Management (e.g., FMP, CFM, or equivalent)
OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
Preferred
Experience with energy management systems or sustainability programs
