Responsibilities

Collects and harvest plasma, serum, and all other required laboratory specimens according to protocol specifications
Monitors the collection of urine and/or fecal specimens from subjects participating in studies
Completes all required study documents and might need to be trained on special equipment per protocol
Assures that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Technical positions may require a certificate
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year)
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role
Detail oriented
Good time management skills
Ability to multi-task
General computer skills including Microsoft Office
Written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under constant exposure to high pressure, intense concentration
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner
Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours
Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
Able to work in non-traditional work environments
Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments
Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities
This position is a per diem role, requiring flexibility to work across all shift types: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
Training Requirement: All new employees must complete a mandatory training period during the 1st shift (typically 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) for the first month of employment
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by the department schedule
Ability to respond to on-call requests and cover shifts on short notice is essential
Willingness to rotate shifts and adapt to changing schedules as needed
