Responsibilities
Assist in performing required reflectivity testing. Helps to establish the replacement/maintenance schedules for all traffic control devices within the Precinct Boundaries
Assist with the setup of temporary traffic control standards at various work sites
Input corrective Traffic Signs repairs and maintenance requests in Cartegraph
Maintains the active required Regulatory and Non-Regulatory sign inventory
On-Call after hours for Emergency “Regulatory” Traffic Sign repair or replacement
Operates different types of equipment used to remove obstructions interfering with the visibility of Traffic Signs
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) full-time years' experience setting traffic control devices, detour signs installation experience required
Understanding of MUTCD codes and specifications
Possess a working knowledge of asphalt and concrete pavement
Must have a valid Class C driver license and obtain a Texas Class “A” CDL license with tanker endorsement within eight (8) months of hire
Basic knowledge of computer programs, smart levels, and digital measuring devices
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Installation and maintenance of regulated and non-regulated traffic signs preferred
