Responsibilities
Coordinating and managing all aspects of revenue cycle management
Ensure correct coding of claims
Submit electronic claims
Ensure payments reflect the fee schedule
Filing of appeals
Client accounts receivable and any needed adjustments
Payer authorizations
Claims denial management
Primary Insurance liaison
Ongoing credentialing and demographic updates with insurance companies
Maintaining RCM policies and procedure manuals for clients and payers
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing in a healthcare setting
Must have a full understanding of insurance follow-up processes (i.e. Billing, Collections, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Practices)
Software proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to multi-task
Preferred
CBCS, CPC Certification preferred
ABA experience preferred
Experience with Central Reach is highly preferred but not required
