Lead Data Center Operations Specialist (Local)

Responsibilities

Execute & coordinate MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes) for data center devices, infrastructure, and cabling while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Program Policies, Safety Policies, and Security Policies
Prioritize workloads, communicate roadblocks, and collaborate in alignment with VUMC and the Data Center's mission
Lead your scheduled shift and collaborate with other leads to ensure daily operations remain aligned with organizational needs/priorities
Ensure customer needs are met and identify issues and areas for improvement
On-Call, Vacation, and Sick Coverage as needed
Coach and mentor team members on continuous improvements, processes, job functions and resolution skills
Responsible for overall site readiness and cleanliness
Create, manage, and maintain thorough documentation of IT assets, chain of custody, and shipments
Track, audit, and update data center & IT assets within Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software
Monitor all data center critical facility systems: fire suppression, water infiltration, air cooling, and power
Collaborate with internal and external parties to assist in critical facility system incident response
Facilitate communications & notifications during major incidents (critical application outages)
Other duties as assigned
