Southern Ute Indian Tribe is seeking a Recording Secretary to take minutes and transcribe council sessions. The role involves providing support to the Executive Office Manager of the Tribal Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Tribal Council.

Responsibilities
Takes minutes and transcribes both regular and special council sessions, which also includes Council work session notes and provides support to the Executive Office Manager of the Tribal Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Tribal Council
Qualification
Required
Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have 2 years of experience in a secretarial or clerical capacity
Must have computer experience in the Microsoft Office environment including Word and Excel
Must have or be able to obtain an extensive knowledge of Tribal Policies and procedures, particularly those related to the duties and functions of the Tribal Council and Tribal Chairman's office
Must be able to type 45 wpm with 85% accuracy
Must be able to pass a skills test to include summarization and proof reading
Must sign a confidentiality agreement at time of hire
Must pass a thorough criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test
Preferred
A valid Driver's License for state of residency and insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy
