Truist is a financial services company seeking a Data Center Technician to coordinate and maintain their IT Data Center infrastructure. The role involves installation, maintenance, and support of various IT equipment and infrastructure while ensuring adherence to security policies and collaboration with technology teams.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, routine testing, and analysis of all elements of the IT enterprise computing infrastructure facilities (e.g. power, communications and processing equipment, cabling infrastructure)

Receiving equipment deliveries

Provide support as required for the IT Data Center security policy

Assist with collaboration with Data Center Services teammates and other technology teams in support of corporate objectives, project goals and initiatives

Maintain documentation for supported IT enterprise infrastructure as required

Retain ongoing knowledge of facilities management and technology within the supported IT enterprise infrastructure

Provide 24x7 onsite or on-call availability for supported IT enterprise infrastructure, as required

Required

College degree in a related field

Two years of relevant Information Technology experience

A demonstrated understanding of applied enterprise computing technology

Knowledge of data flow, mainframe/client server software, problem analysis and performance enhancement

Experience with hardware maintenance on HP, DELL, and Cisco hardware

Familiarity with network interfaces and technologies

Familiarity with infrastructure cabling concepts and best practices

Familiarity with blade server technology and concepts

Resourcefulness in multi-tasking, anticipating needs, developing creative recommendations and researching/synthesizing information to resolve problems

Ability to acquire complex technical concepts through training and self-study

Good interpersonal and communication skills
