Kenworth of Louisiana is seeking a Technician Intern to provide hands-on experience in OEM protocols and procedures. This role involves assisting in repairs, diagnosing malfunctions, and gaining valuable insights from experienced professionals in the automotive service industry.

Responsibilities

Assist in performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards

Observe and assist in diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs according to OEM guidelines

Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts

Save and tag parts for warranty purposes or at the customer's request

Examine assigned vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed or recommended

Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if outlined work is not required, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time

Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order

Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor

Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals

Operate all tools and equipment safely

Attend and complete all assigned company training

Perform other duties as assigned
