Responsibilities

Monitor and control overall project costs, including field and internal expenses
Conduct variance analyses and develop monthly cost forecasts for project and construction expenditures
Prepare project status reports with detailed cost variance analysis and explanations for senior management
Collaborate with project teams to maintain accurate and current cost information throughout the lifecycle
Provide in-depth field cost control and progress analysis to enable proactive risk mitigation and opportunity management
Support Field Cost Analysts (FCAs) on complex or high-risk projects to ensure alignment with cost and schedule objectives
Generate graphs, dashboards, and executive-level summaries that communicate project performance effectively
Collaborate with contractors to deliver EcoSys LEMs training and ensure compliance with rate structures and estimate accuracy
Support Project Controls Advisors (PCAs) in setup, receipt, and attestation of LEMs submissions
Validate that field costs accurately reflect project progress and resource utilization
Assist Project Engineers and Managers with scope definition, verification, and change management processes
Support in identifying scope changes early and assessing their cost and schedule impacts
Help maintain financial and performance integrity of the project by integrating change control data into forecasts
Prepare expenditure profiles, workforce histograms, and capital cost comparisons
Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project execution, working with support teams to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
Develop monthly forecast summaries for total program expenditures

Required

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field
3–7 years of relevant experience in project controls, cost management, or construction project coordination
Field experience or exposure to industrial construction environments preferred
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, data visualization)
Working knowledge of Oracle or SAP project financial systems
Experience with EcoSys highly desirable
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
Collaborative team player with a 'go-getter' attitude and service-oriented mindset
Self-starter who takes ownership and drives tasks to completion with minimal supervision

Preferred

Experience supporting multi-discipline projects during Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases
Familiarity with pipeline and terminal operations is an asset
Strong understanding of cost and schedule integration concepts
Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques preferred
Power BI or other data analytics tool experience is a plus
