The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting principles while being part of a collaborative finance team.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger maintenance
Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Manage fixed assets, check runs, and cash forecasting
Analyze accounting data and prepare accurate financial reports and statements
Ensure adherence to proper accounting principles, policies, and internal controls
Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
Extract and interpret financial data from Microsoft Business Central
Coordinate and process foreign currency transactions and related system entries
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting function
Partner with leadership on ad hoc projects and initiatives to support financial objectives

Required

2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or product-based environment
Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Business Central (or similar ERP system)
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency
Collaborative and dependable team player
