Responsibilities

Begin building technical foundation
Provide challenging assignments
Create broad exposure to Solar Turbines
Acquire product knowledge
Develop enterprise perspective
Begin network building
Build pride and engagement
Preparation for a challenging and rewarding engineering career
Assist in product development
Software development
Hands-on shop floor experiences
Systems or Mechanical design
Interfacing with critical non-engineering roles to develop an understanding of our product life cycle and how the business runs
Align engineering organizational needs with which department they want to join for their Long-Term Assignment

Qualification

Bachelor of Science DegreeEngineering experienceCross-functional teamworkBusiness judgmentMulti-tasking abilityCommunication skills

Required

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
Minimum overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
0-3 years of related experience
Previous internship and/or relevant work experience in an engineering field
Must be able and willing to relocate to San Diego, CA

Preferred

Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
High energy level and sense of urgency
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good business / technical judgment
Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks
Ideal for those building foundational skills in this field, generally within the first 0–2 years of their career
