Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and support Java and Liferay DXP portal applications independently
Participate in application design sessions and propose technical alternatives that support business objectives while reducing technical debt
Create detailed design specifications for implementation and ensure high-quality system software
Write and execute unit tests to validate application functionality against business requirements
Maintain application builds, deployments, and configurations
Perform peer reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration and coordination
Stay updated on trends and emerging technologies in the software development industry
Communicate status updates and track time against project deliverables on a daily basis
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written – with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and technical team members
Proficiency in: Java 8 and above
Proficiency in: Liferay DXP 7.2 and above
Proficiency in: Java Server Pages (JSP)
Proficiency in: Git
Proficiency in: SQL Server
Proficiency in: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience working in a banking or financial services environment
