They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Assistant to accurately estimate materials, labor, and costs for flooring scopes of work on large-scale multifamily construction projects.

Responsibilities
Estimate Preparation: Review architectural plans and specifications to prepare accurate takeoffs and pricing for flooring scopes (LVT, carpet, tile, etc.)
Bid Coordination: Compile and submit bids on time, ensuring all necessary inclusions and exclusions are clearly outlined
Vendor & Supplier Interaction: Request quotes, manage vendor relationships, and stay current on product pricing and availability
Quantity Takeoffs: Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs using digital takeoff software
Cost Analysis: Evaluate project-specific costs and labor to ensure profitability and competitiveness
Client Communication: Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and developers to clarify scope and address bid-related questions
Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or schedule
Bid Follow-Up: Track submitted bids and follow up to determine bid status or gather feedback
