Business Development Manager
Grid Electric is an established commercial electrical contractor serving a broad range of clients through installation, service and maintenance. They are seeking a Business Development Manager with direct commercial electrical experience to guide strategic growth and assist in the development of internal systems. This role involves identifying opportunities, building relationships, and collaborating with various teams to align with company goals.

Responsibilities
Identify and develop commercial electrical opportunities aligned with operational capability
Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, and commercial clients
Collaborate with estimating and operations during pursuit, bid, and pre-construction phases
Support bid strategy, client meetings, and project handoff to operations teams
Assess opportunity risk, schedule feasibility, and margin expectations
Track pipeline activity and forecasts using CRM tools
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Contribute to improving internal systems and workflows related to business development and operations
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in the commercial electrical industry (business development, estimating, project management, or operations)
Strong understanding of commercial electrical scopes, labor planning, and project scheduling
Ability to evaluate opportunities from an operational and financial standpoint
Professional communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field
