Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals/deferrals, and assist with month-end and year-end close
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and member billing
Reconcile POS and event revenue, credit card batches, and bank statements
Produce weekly flashes, monthly financials, and support budget and variance analysis
Reconcile inventory and cost-of-goods between accounting, purchasing, and department reports
Monitor and maintain the payroll system, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, pay cycles, and deductions
Assist with onboarding, personnel file management, PTO tracking, and compliance documentation
Work with the Club’s IT company to maintain computers, POS (Jonas System), copier, and phone systems
Work hand-in-hand with the General Manager and department heads to ensure operational alignment
Support financial analysis for departmental initiatives, events, and capital projects
Maintain organized workpapers and assist with annual audits, filings, and compliance
Support accounting for 501(c)(7) club operations and 501(c)(3) foundation activity
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of accounting experience (hospitality, club, or nonprofit a plus)
Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with POS or accounting software
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with Jonas Club Software or similar POS/accounting platforms
Familiarity with 501(c)(7) and/or 501(c)(3) fund accounting
Payroll or HR system experience (Paychex, ADP, or similar)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA track a plus)
