AWS Platform Admin (not just app migration)
Hands-on experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, AWS Config, Security Hub, SCPs, RCPs
This is more platform governance & security than app development
Infrastructure as Code
Strong Terraform background (writing modules, policies, and managing infra via IaC)
CI/CD & GitHub
Comfortable with GitHub Actions and pipelines, especially for AWS infra automation
Cloud Governance & Security
Enforcing guardrails, compliance, and policies across large AWS accounts
Qualification
Required
AWS Platform Admin (not just app migration)

5–8 years in AWS Cloud Engineering (more than junior, less than principal architect)
Likely worked at an enterprise or consulting firm managing multi-account AWS setups
Has admin-level AWS skills, not just 'building apps on AWS.'
Knows cost optimization and cloud financial management (FinOps mindset)
Detail-oriented & disciplined → governance and compliance roles need precision
Collaborative but opinionated → must enforce rules and best practices with dev teams
Mentor/consultant mindset → expected to guide juniors and advise application teams
Continuous learner → AWS services evolve constantly; must stay current
