Advanced Reliability & System Safety Engineer

Responsibilities
Authoring and ensuring development process follows system safety program plans
Reliability analysis – Allocations to define requirements
Functional hazard analysis
Failure conditions requirements analysis
Safety requirements decomposition
Model based development system design
Systems integration
Reliability predictions throughout design process
Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA)
Safety requirements validation & verification
Aftermarket safety analysis and reliability metrics tracking
Customer interaction
Project coordination within a team and/or leading a small team of RMSS engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering
At least 3 years of engineering experience
Preferred
Demonstrated experience in system safety analysis per ARP4761 and/or MIL-STD-882
Knowledge of systems development lifecycle
Experience in the design, development, manufacture, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex electro-mechanical aerospace systems
Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
Leading diverse and global team
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks and people
Making autonomous decisions
Experience or course work in Probability & Statistics
Background in requirements-based engineering and configuration management of requirements data
Understanding of certification regulations, guidance, and typical qualification expectations
