Responsibilities

Responsible for the performance of overnight polysomnography, four channel sleep screenings and CPAP/BIPAP titrations per physicians’ orders

Responsible for the setup, oversight and scoring of sleep tests, including storage of data, oxygen therapy, introduction of CPAP/BIPAP equipment

Proper sizing of masks and accessories, initiation of CPAP/BIPAP therapy as well as proper titration

Responsible for the care, calibration, cleaning and proper maintenance of the sleep equipment as well as maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment

Required

Minimum of 2 years of Clinical experience

Excellent Time management skills

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary for proper assessment leading to proper test and treatment selection

Testing normally involves monitoring and treating more than one patient at a time

Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care or Sleep Medicine

Have appropriate clinical experience or have a certificate of completion from a polysomnography or EEG program

Current MA Respiratory license

CRT/RRT or Polysomnography Certificate, RPSGT preferred

BLS certified

Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas

Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation
