Responsibilities

Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code

Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements

Partner with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of projects that meet business objectives and compliance standards

Participate in code reviews, peer review processes, support testing and deployment of new products and features

Adhere to technical and architectural best practices and standards for the company

Implement features and correct software defects

Demonstrate features meet business requirements to stakeholders

Participation in and contribution to technical documentation for the organization

Qualification

Backend Java developmentObject Oriented DesignDatabase DesignWeb Socket programmingCloud technologyLinuxEvent driven I/OAgile/Scrum experienceScripting knowledgeExceptional communication

Required

5+ years of Backend Java software development (analysis, development, testing, documentation)

Expertise in Object Oriented Design and Database Design (PostGres preferred), and Web Socket programming

Strong understanding of event driven I/O, preferably Kafka

Experience with BDD/TDD and unit testing frameworks (JUnit)

Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

Experience working in a Linux environment

Cloud experience, (GCP a plus)

Strong understanding of distributed systems a plus

Ability to thrive in a fast paced, tech forward, transparent, organizationally flat environment where ideas can come from anywhere and execution is everything

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment a plus

A Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or work equivalent
