Lead Rust Software Developer | Next-Gen Embedded Defense Systems
The Blond HR is focused on advanced defense technologies, and they are seeking a Lead Rust Software Developer to guide Rust adoption across embedded systems. This role involves leading integration efforts, providing architectural guidance, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize performance.

Responsibilities
Lead the integration of Rust across embedded platforms and legacy systems
Provide architectural and memory-safe coding guidance to multi-discipline teams
Collaborate across engineering teams to define interfaces and optimize performance
Design, develop, and test embedded applications using Rust, C/C++, and Python
Contribute throughout the full SDLC from concept to formal verification
Drive best practices and lead technical innovation in real-time operating systems like VxWorks, Linux, and Integrity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance (Required)
8+ years embedded software development experience
3+ years production-grade Rust development experience
Strong background in C/C++, real-time systems, and object-oriented design
Excellent communication and leadership collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience converting legacy C/C++ to Rust
Familiarity with UML tools (IBM Rhapsody, MagicDraw/Cameo)
Device driver & Board Support Package (BSP) development
Background in Information Assurance, cryptography, or NSA Type 1 certifications
