Environmental Scientist 4
The State of Louisiana's Department of Environmental Quality is seeking an Environmental Scientist 4 to support the Manager and Supervisors in mentoring lower-level Environmental Scientists. The role involves collecting water quality data, maintaining equipment proficiency, and assisting with standard operating procedures and supply procurement.

Responsibilities
Collects Water Quality Data in the Field as part of a Sampling Team or Project Lead
Performs Internal Data Review
Maintain Proficiency with Equipment and Procedures to Train Staff
Assist with Standard Operating Procedure Maintenance and Development
Assist with Maintenance and Procurement of Supplies and Equipment
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in an environmental, biological, atmospheric, chemical, health, nuclear or physical science field, an engineering field, a geography/geosciences field, a natural resources field, or in a statistics or quantitative methods field PLUS two years of experience in an environmental program, nuclear energy or radiation protection program; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); an environmental, analytical, or research laboratory, LIMS (Lab Integrated Management Systems), or laboratory auditing
A master's degree in an environmental, biological, atmospheric, chemical, health, nuclear or physical science field, an engineering field, a geography/geosciences field, a natural resources field, or in a statistics or quantitative methods field plus one year of experience in an environmental program, nuclear energy or radiation protection program; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); an environmental, analytical, or research laboratory, LIMS (Lab Integrated Management Systems), or laboratory auditing
A doctorate in an environmental, biological, atmospheric, chemical, health, nuclear or physical science field, an engineering field, a geography/geosciences field, a natural resources field, or in a statistics or quantitative methods field
