Chief Actuary Officer or Senior Actuary Director - Life & Investment Division
ttg Talent Solutions is a global insurance company, and they are seeking a Senior Actuary Director in the Life & Investment division. The role involves shaping and supporting insurance and investment-linked products, ensuring accurate pricing, compliance with regulatory standards, and guiding strategic decisions through analysis and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Lead pricing of life and investment-linked products, ensuring assumptions, methodologies, and profitability metrics meet governance and risk standards
Manage the full product development cycle—from concept and feasibility through pricing, filings, implementation, and post-launch monitoring
Perform monthly/quarterly reserve valuations under statutory, GAAP, and IFRS frameworks
Conduct experience studies (mortality, lapse, expense, investment) and update pricing/valuation assumptions
Partner with product and investment teams on ALM, fund performance analysis, and investment strategy modeling
Build, maintain, and enhance actuarial models using tools such as AXIS or Prophet
Contribute to regulatory filings, actuarial opinions, asset adequacy testing, and capital reporting
Support adoption of new actuarial standards and regulatory/accounting changes (e.g., IFRS 17, LDTI)
Analyze participating or unit-linked fund performance, including policyholder dividends
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and strategic initiatives
Maintain compliance with actuarial standards, internal controls, and company risk policies
Provide actuarial insights for financial planning, reinsurance optimization, and ERM activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
15 years of actuarial experience in life or investment-linked products or the Sr Director position
Extensive experience beyond the minimum qualifications may be well-positioned for the Chief Actuary officer
ASA required; FSA preferred
Strong knowledge of product design, valuation, and regulatory frameworks
Proficiency with actuarial modeling tools (AXIS, Prophet, MG-ALFA) and analytical tools (Excel, SQL, Python, R)
Understanding of ALM, yield curves, investment strategies, and fund performance
Familiarity with IFRS 17, GAAP LDTI, and capital requirements
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
