Cybersecurity Administrator

As a Cybersecurity Administrator, you will safeguard the organization's security infrastructure, manage cybersecurity alerts, and collaborate with various teams to uphold security protocols and protect sensitive information.
Responsibilities
Respond to Cybersecurity Alerts: Act as a primary resource for handling cybersecurity alerts, incidents, and other security-related scenarios
Monitor and Detect Threats: Configure and manage systems to actively monitor indicators of compromise, enhancing our threat detection capabilities
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Perform first and second level troubleshooting across various security systems, ensuring swift and efficient resolution of any issues
Conduct Cyber Forensics: Perform first-level data forensics to investigate security incidents and ensure system integrity
Firewall Traffic Review: Regularly review firewall traffic and rules, ensuring they're up-to-date and effective in safeguarding the network
System Upgrade: Routinely contribute to security system upgrades, certificates, and rekey updates to maintain optimal security performance
User Support and Administration: Manage security administration functions such as user account maintenance, workflow automation, and dashboard management
Train and Empower Teams: Assist in training new users and share cybersecurity knowledge across the organization through articles and other learning materials
Vulnerability Management: Develop and maintain a robust vulnerability management program to keep the organization secure
Support Security Projects: Work closely with the other cyber teams on various security-related initiatives and projects
Contribute to Ongoing Security Efforts: Perform additional duties as needed to maintain and improve BECU’s cybersecurity framework
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Cybersecurity, Business Information Systems, or equivalent work/educational experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in information/cybersecurity
Preferred
Basic level understanding of Cyber Security Operations (monitoring, detection, incident response, forensics)
Security+, Azure, ServiceNow, or networking certifications
Basic knowledge of current information security planning techniques, technologies, and risk analysis methods
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies
Demonstrated experience with networking principles across cloud and on-premises environments
Proven track record in evaluating and clearly communicating risk to stakeholders
Proficiency in organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills applied to security initiatives
Availability to respond to issues or incidents outside of normal business hours (on-call support required)
