Responsibilities

Design co-packaged optics (CPO) or near-packaged optics (NPO) solutions, integrating optical interconnects tightly with high-radix ASIC subsystems to enable ultra-high bandwidth and low-latency data transmission
Develop passive fiber connectivity solutions like FAU, optical backplane, inside-box fiber cable assembly, ELSFP modules, fiber shuffle, cassettes and fiber termination for CPO/NPO applications
Conduct end-to-end simulations and modeling to optimize signal integrity, power efficiency, and thermal performance
Evaluate photonic integration techniques, and semiconductor technologies to maintain a competitive advantage in CPO/NPO innovation
Validate mechanical designs through simulation and physical testing
Have mechanical and thermal simulation and solution experience for CPO
Partner with ASIC, package, board, and photonics engineering teams to ensure CPO/NPO solutions are manufacturable, scalable, and aligned with system architecture requirements
Work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, sales, and marketing teams to translate technical insights into compelling product offerings
Design and execute fiber testing protocols including bend testing, pull testing, and environmental testing and validate products across CPO Engine, FAU, optics connectors, ELSFP, Fiber shuffle, optical backplane etc
Analyze test data and implement design improvements based on findings
Support customer validation and qualification processes
