The Mechanical Design and Engineering Technology Adjunct will provide high-quality instruction in mechanical drafting, develop curriculum, and ensure alignment with local workforce needs, while offering hands-on experiences to empower students for success.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various delivery formats, schedules, and in various places in accordance with the mission of the college inclusive of: facilitating learning of diverse students, assessing student performance, as well as instruction and outcomes, developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members

Developing curriculum, including learning activities and assessments

Work with curriculum coach to ensure state and Lakeshore design requirements are met

Teaching/training in business and industry may be assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required

Two years (4,000) hours of relevant occupational experience, with one year (2,000 hours) of recent relevant occupational experience within the past five years

Knowledge of Lakeshore's mission, vision, and strategic direction

Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Effective interpersonal skills and customer service skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and CREO

Adapt quickly to new and changing technology

Perform work accurately and thoroughly, with a high level of accountability and attention to detail

Work independently, as part of a team, and/or with minimal supervision

Present self in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner at all times
