Machine Operator I (onsite)

Collins Aerospace in Spokane WA is hiring for a motivated entry level Machine Operator I in our Machine Shop. You will learn and be responsible for the set-up, calibration and operation of machines used in the production process, ensuring quality control and data integrity within digital systems.

Responsibilities

You will part of a team-oriented atmosphere and interact with other functional groups (e.g., engineering) on technical matters
You will setup CNC machines and run parts (training provided)
You will follow a weekly Preventative Maintenance process
You will follow applicable instructions (WI, SOP, Reference documents)
You will use precision gauging tools (including CMM), verifying gauge calibration (micrometers, calipers, drills, inserts, etc.)
You will identify and document out-of-spec conditions
You will complete daily machine inspections, calibration verification
You will follow First Piece Inspection procedure, tools, inserts and their functions
You will adhere to all safety policies (Collins Aerospace Cardinal Rules)
You will participate in 5S/continuous improvement processes (ACE)
You will observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures
You will comply with all company policies and procedures
You will maintain a clean and organized work area
You will adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
You will have the ability to prioritize tasks under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgment are required
You will work 4 days on/4 days off – 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks

Required

HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma a GED is required
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Preferred

Manufacturing or similar industry related experience
Experience with G&M codes, Macro programming and editing process
