Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex integrations using Workday Integration Tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, Cloud Connect, etc.)
Enhance and support existing integrations with third-party systems
Build and maintain custom solutions leveraging Workday Extend
Work with multiple integration patterns, protocols, and data formats to meet business requirements
Apply best practices in code testing (unit, contract, integration, and system testing)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and maintainable solutions
Utilize Source Control Management (SCM) tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket with effective branching strategies
Qualification
Required
Advanced expertise in Workday Integration tools: EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and Cloud Connect
Advanced skills in Workday Extend for custom application development
Proficiency with integration technologies: EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, Python (or similar)
Deep understanding of Workday's data model, business processes, and security framework
Strong knowledge of software design principles (Object-Oriented Design or Functional Programming) to build modular, testable backend systems
Hands-on experience with code testing methodologies and SCM tools (GitHub, Bitbucket) including branching strategies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Prior experience in enterprise environments—technology, consulting, or professional services—where Workday integrations are critical
Background in large-scale HR or financial system integrations and high-volume data exchanges is highly desirable
