Spirituality, Culture, and Health (SCH) Program Coordinator
University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking a Spirituality, Culture, and Health (SCH) Program Coordinator to oversee the SCH program. This role involves managing faculty, staff, and students to develop and implement curricula aimed at promoting student interest in sciences and addressing Native American health disparities.

Responsibilities
Directly oversee the SCH program by managing faculty, staff and students across multi-disciplinary UNMC colleges and departments and stakeholders external to UNMC including tribal representatives, tribal and public school staff, educators, students and community members in Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana and Arizona
Develop, implement, and evaluate science curricula and research experiences aimed to promote student interest in the sciences, address Native American health disparities, and ultimately develop our regional and national workforce by increasing the number of Native Americans entering health professions and research careers
Build SCH program capacity by supervising student participants in research experiences and fostering communication, partnership, and bi-directional knowledge sharing between the SCH program and all stakeholders
Manage and disseminate all existing and new SCH program curriculum, including research, education and training and professional development opportunities in collaboration with local and national schools, tribes, academic institutions, organizations and other stakeholders
Oversee all program data management and evaluation, including managing data collection and dissemination with SCH staff, an external evaluator, internal and external stakeholders, Westat, the National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Service Administration, and other funders
Qualification
Required
Experience in program coordination or management in an academic or health-related field
Strong understanding of Native American health disparities and cultural competence
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including tribal representatives, educators, and community members
Experience in curriculum development and evaluation
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage data collection and evaluation processes
Experience in supervising and mentoring students or staff
Preferred
Advanced degree in public health, education, or a related field
Experience working with tribal communities and organizations
Knowledge of federal funding agencies and grant management
Experience in research and data analysis
