North American IT Director

Confidential is a global industrial leading company seeking an experienced and strategic North America Director of IT to lead regional IT operations. This role oversees both Infrastructure and Applications, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and delivering measurable value across the organization.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders in North America
Translate business objectives into scalable, secure and sustainable IT solution
Contribute to global IT strategy while tailoring execution to local and regional needs
Own the design, maintenance and improvement of local NA IT infrastructure, including on-prem and cloud environments, network architecture, and cybersecurity posture
Oversee vendor relationships, procurement and performance of infrastructure providers
Ensure high availability, optimization, and user adoption of business applications (ERP, WMS, CRM, etc.)
Partner with business leaders to drive continuous improvement through digital tools and automation
Manage and mentor a geographically distributed IT team, including helpdesk and application professionals
Lead and deliver IT initiatives on time and within budget
Own IT project governance and ensure clear communication with executive stakeholders
Oversee IT operations and performance in NA, including ticketing, SLA’s, business continuity, and compliance
Develop and manage the regional IT budget
Hands on experience with Firewalls and Networking Products

Required

5 to 10 years of experience in working in IT operations management
Day to day applications support in operational North America sites
Hand on experience with ERP system. WMS experience, a plus
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience, or a combination of the two
Ability to explain technical details and handle complex information with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
