Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair/service, maintain and upgrade Building Automation Systems (BAS) at client sites in the United States and overseas per company procedures and contractual requirements
Frequent overseas travel to provide preventive maintenance, system upgrades and troubleshooting of multiple types of building automation systems at client sites
Generate reports of findings/work performed, including creating field as-built drawings
Take inventory of existing systems and parts, make recommendations for procurement and repairs
Must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs and use tools while on a ladder
Coordinate/liaise with client and multiple on-site contacts

Required

3+ years of experience with start-up, point to point checkout, maintenance and commissioning of building Direct Digital Control (DDC) Building Automation Systems (BAS) in one or more of the following: Invensys, Tridium Niagara N4, Tridium Niagara AX, Tridium Niagara R2, Honeywell CARE, Honeywell Symmetry, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Siemens Apogee, Reliable Controls, Alerton Controls, Siemens Talon, Barber Coleman Controls, Siebe, Schneider Electric, Pneumercator fuel monitoring, and Siemens WinPM power monitoring
Strong knowledge and practical experience with troubleshooting and editing DDC programs
Strong knowledge and experience with controls concepts for the mechanical HVAC equipment in commercial buildings
Practical experience interfacing and integrating DDC systems with electrical and mechanical equipment systems
Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems
Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications
Strong knowledge and practical experience using a Digital Multi-meter and other calibration and testing tools to troubleshoot BAS systems and their end devices
Physically able to climb ladders and stairs and use tools while on a ladder
Ability to lift/carry tools and equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, tact and professionalism to deal with multiple client contacts/departments
US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Good knowledge of MS Office products including Word and Excel

Preferred

Manufacturer training/certifications in the above systems preferred
Experience using AutoCAD a plus
