East AL Community Development Specialist VISTA

Responsibilities
Serve as a key player in the planning, development, generation, and implementation of a critical project targeting a sensitive population of society
Introduce our programs and services to institutions and leaders that avoid difficult topics that affect historically disadvantaged and socioeconomically deprived communities
Examine and document trends and patterns of current research and data
Create reports and statistical 'notes' for use in marketing and social media platforms
Identify and implement benchmarks for strategies aligned with the organization’s short-term goals
Establish strong relationships by understanding constituent needs, the consumer experience, and organizational capabilities
Evaluate root cause indicators and develop methods to address underlying concerns
Collaborate with other departments (Marketing, Software Development, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions
Qualification
Required
Focus on financial empowerment and poverty reduction
Experience in designing, implementing, and overseeing programs
Ability to improve economic opportunities and access to resources
Experience working with community members, local organizations, and stakeholders
Ability to contribute to the development and execution of strategies addressing root causes of poverty
Ability to aid in setting the foundation for reducing poverty by 10% within one year
Serve as a key player in planning, development, generation, and implementation of projects
Ability to introduce programs and services to institutions and leaders
Experience examining and documenting trends and patterns of current research and data
Ability to create reports and statistical notes for marketing and social media
Ability to identify and implement benchmarks for strategies aligned with organizational goals
Ability to establish strong relationships by understanding constituent needs
Experience evaluating root cause indicators and developing methods to address concerns
Ability to collaborate with other departments to manage reputation and coordinate actions
Skills in leadership, community organization, recruitment, public speaking, teamwork, fundraising/grant writing
Minimum age requirement of 18
Fluency in English
