Responsibilities

Participate in the selection of qualified testing firms to provide commissioning and quality services in accordance with established standards
Ensure completion of all activities outlined in Quality and Commissioning specifications by responsible parties
Facilitate Commissioning Kick-off meetings with the Commissioning Provider, including initial project team orientation on commissioning requirements
Actively participate in the development and review of project designs
Provide consolidated updates through the commissioning progress tracker for all campus buildings
Support preconstruction efforts to align design, scope of work, and cost estimates with current performance metrics and goals
Review building drawings for compliance with Design and Construction Standards
Participate in Root Cause Analysis for incidents related to MEP systems
Assist with development, processing, and tracking of Methods of Procedure (MOPs)
Conduct weekly meetings with the Commissioning Provider using a focused '5 in 15' format
Assist in developing Level 0–Level 5 commissioning schedules in coordination with the project team
Update the master project schedule with milestone completion status
Participate in weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) and commissioning meetings
Address high- and moderate-priority issues, including validation of issue prioritization
Compile issue log data and aggregate it into the primary database
Perform jobsite inspections to review installation progress, quality, and compliance, including schedule adherence
Ensure MEP Requests for Information (RFIs) are resolved in a timely manner
Collaborate with the project team to support early access requirements and report potential obstacles to early floor access
Ensure safety policies and best practices are followed at all times
Verify MEP system as-built documentation is complete and accurate at turnover
Complete all required steps in the project handoff process
Ensure general contractors provide required training in accordance with training specifications
Support the review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) with Operations teams

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP system coordination and/or project management, with at least 5 years preferred in mission-critical environments
Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical and electrical regulations, standards, best practices, and codes
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals
Experience developing and managing CPM schedules and analyzing contractor-provided timelines
Solid understanding of how mechanical and electrical systems function and integrate
Demonstrated ability to lead integrated teams of engineers, contractors, skilled trades, equipment manufacturers, commissioning teams, tenants, and authorities having jurisdiction toward common goals
Experience supporting projects across multiple U.S. locations
Ability to travel to project sites as required
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing team members
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and industry tools such as Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and SharePoint
