Responsibilities
Lead configuration management activities for complex projects or multiple systems
Develop and enforce configuration management plans, policies, and procedures ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards
Oversee configuration control boards (CCB) and change management processes
Analyze impacts of configuration changes and advise stakeholders on risk and compliance
Manage and optimize configuration management tools and databases for accurate tracking and reporting
Conduct root cause analysis of configuration issues and implement corrective actions
Mentor and guide junior and intermediate configuration management staff
Collaborate with project managers, development, and operations teams to integrate configuration management practices throughout the project life-cycle
Stay updated on emerging tools, standards, and best practices in configuration management
Qualification
Required
Minimum of three (3) years and has a deep understanding of/or experience with configuration management principles and best practices
Configuration baselines and version control
Configuration control boards and change review processes
Risk assessment related to configuration changes
Impact assessment and root cause analysis
Configuring and optimizing configuration management tools
U.S. Citizenship is Required
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required
Preferred
Unix/Linux command-line proficiency, desired
Windows server and patch management, desired
Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), desired
Version control (CMPRO, GitLab, Jenkins), desired
DoD software fielding and accreditation, desired
Two (2) to three (3) years' experience with US Navy Combat Systems in at least one aspect (I.e., design, development, integration, operation, test, analysis, etc.), desired
