Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain agency software systems
Support applications including SDWIS, WQX, SWIFT, and DW-SFTIES
Lead data migration and new software implementation efforts
Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and service desk issues
Develop and execute manual and automated test cases
Participate in full SDLC activities from requirements through deployment
Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and external partners
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews
Maintain system, security, and disaster recovery documentation
Ensure compliance with application development and security standards
Qualification
Required
Government IT software development experience
SQL development and optimization experience
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills
Experience maintaining and enhancing existing applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
ASP.NET, .NET, C#
SQL (queries, stored procedures)
HTML, CSS
SDLC methodologies
Preferred
Experience with SDWIS, WQX, SWIFT, or DW-SFTIES
EPA systems or agency collaboration experience
Apache Tomcat or Java experience
