The Accounting Controller will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in support of a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and general ledger functions
Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and forecasts
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
Partner with leadership to support budgeting, cash flow management, and strategic planning
Manage audits, tax filings, and external financial relationships
Implement process improvements and financial systems to support growth and efficiency
Provide financial insights to guide executive decision-making

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience managing accounting operations for mid-sized organizations (100+ employees)
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred

Experience in the IT services or Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry
Experience with Oracle NetSuite
Strong background in process automation and financial efficiency initiatives
Proven ability to support organizational growth and scalability
Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-state payroll and tax compliance
Demonstrated success in building and mentoring accounting teams
