Director, Clinical Strategic Infrastructure Project

MD Anderson is dedicated to eliminating cancer and advancing life-saving research and care. The Director, Clinical Strategic Infrastructure Project will develop strategies for optimal use of clinical operations space and lead efforts in clinical operations and facilities infrastructure, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and patient needs.

Responsibilities

Oversees the development of strategies for optimal use of clinical operations space and future infrastructure needs
Leads the development of executive summaries, business plans, and project-related documents
Participates in selection committees for large-scale capital projects
Collaborates with Facilities SMEs to update Owners Design Guidelines, aligning them with clinical requirements
Reviews facility condition assessment documents, assessing aging infrastructure, and determine funding needed for clinical operations in line with strategic planning
Prepares project submission packets, including business plans, financial analysis, scope of work, KPUs, costs, and timelines for clinical projects
Collaborate on post-occupancy analysis, incorporating patient volumes, staffing models, operational expenses, financial modeling, and project performance
Coordinates with clinical and facilities leaders to support multidisciplinary mission and facilitate long-range planning
Collaborates with design and construction professionals
Provides leadership and direction to Clinical teams to ensure sustainability and resiliency are incorporated into projects
Manages all aspects of human resources for assigned staff
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Seven years experience in facilities planning, design, or capital project management, including at least five years in a supervisory or management role
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources

Preferred

Master's Degree
PE - Professional Engineer Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), State of Texas or Registered Architect, State of Texas
