SharePoint & Power BI Project Manager
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a SharePoint & Power BI Project Manager for the San Diego Unified Port District. The role involves leading the delivery of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power BI projects, ensuring they are executed on schedule, within budget, and according to scope while acting as the client liaison for communication and quality control.

Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of all SharePoint and Power BI initiatives for the District
Develop and maintain project plans detailing scope, deliverables, dependencies, and milestones
Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including developers, analysts, data engineers, and QA personnel
Creates weekly progress reports
Manage budgets, resource allocations, and change requests
Identify risks early, maintaining a risk register and executing mitigation plans promptly
Monitor project performance using defined metrics such as on-time delivery, quality adherence, and end-user adoption rates
Ensure full compliance with District IT security, accessibility, and data privacy policies
Conduct post-implementation reviews and compile lessons learned to support continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
12–15 years of professional IT project management experience, including 7+ years leading Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or BI-focused projects
Proven record of managing end-to-end SharePoint implementations, migrations, and Power BI solution deployments across enterprise or government environments
PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Certified Scrum Master required
Experienced managing multi-disciplinary teams across business analysis, development, QA, and data analytics

Preferred
Microsoft Certified: Project Manager Associate or Power Platform Fundamentals preferred
Experience leading large-scale SharePoint Online migrations from on-premises or legacy systems
Demonstrated success delivering Power BI implementations for public agencies or data governance environments
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, security frameworks, and enterprise integration
Familiarity with Agile tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) and analytics reporting for executive-level visibility
Proven success managing client relationships in a multi-stakeholder government environment
