Total Integrated Solutions (TIS) Ltd is seeking an experienced Smoke Ventilation Designer / Surveyor to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, assessment, and delivery of compliant smoke ventilation and smoke control solutions across a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities

Design, assess, and deliver smoke ventilation and smoke control systems

Undertake detailed site surveys and inspections

Produce clear, accurate technical reports and documentation

Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards

Collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions

Provide technical guidance and support throughout the full project lifecycle

Required

Minimum 5 years' experience in smoke ventilation design and/or surveying

Strong working knowledge of relevant standards - BS 7346, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS EN 12101, BS ISO 21927 and other applicable regulations, standards, and codes of practice

Sound understanding of Construction Products Regulations, sector manufacturers, and the application of approved products and systems

Proven experience delivering compliant, practical smoke control solutions

Relevant technical qualification(s) in engineering, fire safety, or a related discipline

A Positive, self-motivated proactive individual

Ability to operate effectively under pressure to rapidly changing circumstances

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports

Be well organised and have self-discipline

You will be a team player with ambition who is willing to learn new technologies and procedures

Have the desire to learn and continually improve your knowledge
