Civil Craft Laborer - Lundgren

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer that will be responsible for assisting Laborers and Laborer Journeyman with material handling, assembling and dismantling of equipment, preparing work areas, and cleaning of machines and workspaces. The role involves various responsibilities including loading and unloading equipment, preparing materials, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

Load and unload equipment

Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts

Clean work area, machines, and equipment

Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging

Level ground for scaffolding

Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets

General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris

Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete

Vibrate concrete

Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

All other duties as assigned

Required

Experience in construction preferred

Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies

Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback

Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs
