Data science is the practice of generating novel information, which cannot be found by lookup in the raw or explicit data available, by statistical and mathematical techniques in order to augment and/or automate decisions and processes critical to business success
You will work as an internal consultant in relationship with business partners and experts in diverse business and technical domains to conceive, design, develop, and deliver solutions to complex and ambiguous problems by the application of data science or Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Operations Research)
Ability to act as an internal consultant to design and deliver solutions to complex business problems using data science or AI
Skill in framing business problems as data problems and communicating solutions to diverse audiences
Experience collaborating on Agile teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality delivery
Ability to prepare and work with structured and unstructured data, including cleansing, harmonization, augmentation, and feature engineering
Ability to apply advanced analytical methods including operations research, management science, statistics, time series forecasting (ARIMAX, exponential smoothing, neural networks), machine learning (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement), and natural language processing (traditional and neural network-based)
Experience in developing and deploying predictive models using techniques such as regression, decision forests, gradient boosting, SVMs, neural networks (MLPs, RNNs, CNNs, transformers), transfer learning, and signal processing; monitor performance, drift, and retraining needs
Proficiency in open-source programming (Python or R) and data visualization libraries (matplotlib, ggplot2)
Proficiency with distributed computing (Databricks, Spark) and optimization tools (Google OR Tools, Gurobi)
Prior independent, academic, internship, or work experience applying data science methods
Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred
Advanced degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Operations Research)
Familiarity with advanced visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
General knowledge of the manufacturing industry and business functions is preferred
