REAL PROPERTY APPRAISER V (SR-24) [1 vacancy]
NEOGOV is seeking a Real Property Appraiser V for the City and County of Honolulu's Department of Design and Construction. Responsibilities
Appraise real property for City acquisition, disposal, rental, and lease
Analyze complex valuation problems where comparable data may be limited or unusual
Research, verify, and maintain comparable sales and market data
Work with City departments, such as the Department of Parks and Recreation, on land valuation
Track real property values trends and advise City agencies
Review and critique appraisals prepared by other appraisers
Prepare clear, well-supported appraisal reports
Explain and defend value conclusions when appraisal are reviewed or challenged
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At the time of application, you must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in real estate, business or public administration, economics or a related field
Four years of professional experience in appraising real property
The current vacancy requires a valid State of Hawaii certification as a Certified Residential Appraiser (CRA) or Certified General Appraiser (CGA) at the time of application
Current valid driver's license (Type 3/automobile), prior to appointment
